Traditional Canoe Tour
Duration – 1 to 1.5 hours
Price per person - $34.00
This educational and cultural tour offers a unique outdoor experience that pairs the traditions of the Coast Salish people with the spirituality and beauty of nature on the Saanich Peninsula. Paddle a 30ft replica dug-out canoe to the natural rhythm of the ocean while our fully trained tour guides tell legends and sing songs that will send you back in time. This is a gentle, non-strenuous activity geared to any fitness level and age group. Tours leave from Seaquest Dock at the foot of Beacon Avenue in Sidney.

Traditional Canoe and Medicinal Plant Walk
Duration – 3 to 3.5 hours
Price per person - $59.00
A quick water taxi ride transports you to Sidney Island home of legendary Sidney Spit. Embark on the Traditional Canoe Tour around the island shoreline then be guided on a one of a kind tour of the local medicinal plants used by the Coast Salish people for cooking and healing ceremonies. Share in the ancient knowledge and wisdom used in identifying and harvesting indigenous flora and fauna. Call for times.

Gulf Island Eco-tour and Whale Viewing
Duration – 3 – 3.5 hours
Price per person - $69.00
Geared to the non-paddling nature enthusiast, this tour has all the tradition and spirituality of Coast Salish Culture including legends and song. View the beauties of the Gulf Island scenery and wildlife while seated comfortably in a covered, new 27ft water taxi. Orcas, porpoises, otters, seals, seal lions and various sea birds are our frequent companions on this tour and the occasional grey or humpback whale has also been sighted. Be sure to bring your camera, you won’t want to miss a thing!! Whale sightings are not guaranteed.

Guided Kayak Tours

Gulf Island ADVENTURE
Duration – 3 hours
Price per person - $59.00
Embarking from Port Sidney Marina these tours incorporate physical fitness paired with cultural education and the beauty of the West Coast. Learn about ancient Coast Salish village sites and shell middens while basking in the accomplishment that comes with powering your own transport along the scenic shoreline. Learn valuable techniques of handling kayaks on the ocean while seemingly immersed in the water in a stable one or two-man kayak.

Gulf Island Expedition
Duration – 5 hours
Price per person – $79.00
All of the excitement of the above tour with extra time to enjoy the ride. You will have ample time to fully engross yourself in the spirituality of the area and the cultural stories associated with the Gulf Islands and Coast Salish people. Take a closer look at the ocean bottom sea life including sea anemones and starfish that you will be almost close enough to touch!!
